The PumpHouse Kununurra is an iconic East Kimberley establishment, offering delicious food made with locally grown produce, an insight into the fascinating history of Kununurra, and the best place to watch the sun go down on another remarkable day in Australia’s North West.

We have a strong focus on building relationships with local producers, which is reflected in our ever-changing seasonal menus. We take inspiration from the richly diverse country around us, incorporating flavours and ingredients to create modern, creative, and most importantly, delicious dishes that show off the local produce in their true glory.

You’ll find us just a stone’s throw from town, perched on the shores of Lake Kununurra. Enjoy sunset drinks overlooking this tranquil setting and as the sun disappears under the horizon, enjoy the air-conditioned comfort of the interior seating area, surrounded by the original pumps of the Ord Pump Station.

Our Team

Laura Drinkwater

A familiar face to some Kununurra locals, we are pleased to welcome Laura Drinkwater as our PumpHouse Kununurra Restaurant Manager. After many years abroad Laura has made the East Kimberley her home, spending the past five years working at remote lodges such as El Questro Homestead, Berkeley River Lodge & Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge.

An old PumpHouse regular, she is very excited to be a part of the re-opening and is hoping to create a fun, welcoming experience for locals and visitors alike. Laura has extensive experience in bar management and has created an inspired drinks menu that celebrates some of the best wine, beer and spirits both WA and Australia has to offer.

We couldn’t be more excited to have Laura leading our wonderful team at the PumpHouse Kununurra.
